How we compared these AI marketing agents
The word agent now appears on almost every marketing product page, and it means very different things. Some products write copy when you ask. Some run a fixed workflow you built. A few look at your data on their own, decide what to do and carry it out. If you are about to pay for one, that difference matters more than which language model sits underneath.
We looked at each tool with four questions. Does it decide what to work on, or wait for instructions? Can it read your real data, such as GA4, ad accounts and the CRM? Does it only draft, or can it launch changes in the channels? And what does it cost once seats, credits and onboarding are added?
AI marketing agents compared at a glance
The short version, before the detail on each tool.
| Tool | Best for | What it does on its own | Starting price | Launches changes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| UltraMarketer | Companies with 1 to 50 million USD revenue and a small team | Weekly ranked plan across site, ads, analytics and email, with the ads, pages and emails prepared | $299 a month, or $149 a month billed yearly | Yes, in Google Ads, Meta Ads, email and CMS, inside caps you set |
| HubSpot Breeze | Teams whose CRM and email already run in HubSpot | Content, social and prospecting agents that work from HubSpot CRM records | Marketing Hub Professional, about $800 a month billed yearly, plus an onboarding fee | Inside HubSpot |
| Salesforce Agentforce for Marketing | Enterprises on Marketing Cloud and Data Cloud | Builds segments, campaign briefs and journeys from Salesforce data | Usage credits, about $500 per 100,000 Flex Credits, on top of Salesforce licenses | Inside Salesforce |
| Jasper | Content teams that produce a lot of copy | Content agents that write in a set brand voice | Pro $69 per seat a month, $59 billed yearly | No, it drafts |
| Copy.ai | Go to market teams building content and prospecting workflows | Runs the workflows and agents you configure on a shared knowledge base | Chat from $29 a month, Growth $1,000 a month | Only what your workflows do |
| Lindy | Teams that want one narrow custom agent | Custom agents assembled from prebuilt skills, run on a schedule | From about $30 per user a month | Whatever you connect it to |
Two patterns stand out. The CRM suites are strongest when you already pay for the suite, and they work mostly inside it. The writing tools are cheap per seat but leave analysis and launching to you. Only a few products try to do the whole loop of reading the data, deciding, preparing and launching.
Each AI marketing agent in more detail
UltraMarketer
UltraMarketer is an AI marketing agent built for companies that spend real money on marketing but have one to six people running it. It connects to your website, GA4, Google Ads, Meta Ads, your CRM and email platform, then produces a Weekly Growth Plan of 10 actions ranked by expected leads or sales. Each action arrives with the finished work, for example new search ad variants, a landing page draft or an email sequence, and launches with one click inside spend caps and approval rules you set. Where it is weaker: it uses your existing positioning rather than building a brand from nothing, and it does not replace a CRM or email platform.
HubSpot Breeze
Breeze is HubSpot's set of AI agents and assistants. If your contacts, deals, emails and landing pages already live in HubSpot, its agents can use that context directly, which is a real advantage. The catch is cost and scope. The marketing agents come with Marketing Hub Professional, widely reported at about 800 USD a month billed yearly for three seats, with a mandatory onboarding fee and credits that do not roll over. It also does little with channels HubSpot does not manage, such as optimizing a Google Ads account in depth.
Salesforce Agentforce for Marketing
Agentforce suits large companies that have standardized on Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Data Cloud. It can build segments, write campaign briefs and assemble journeys from very rich customer data. Pricing is usage based on top of existing licenses, so total cost depends on volume and is usually negotiated. For a company without Salesforce, it is not a realistic starting point.
Jasper
Jasper is a strong writing tool with brand voice controls and prebuilt content agents. Content teams that need many on-brand drafts each week get good value from it. It does not read your ad accounts or analytics and does not decide what to work on, so someone still has to plan, check results and publish. If all you need is a steady flow of search articles, a dedicated AI writer for SEO articles is a cheaper and narrower option than any tool on this list.
Copy.ai
Copy.ai has moved from a copywriting app toward go to market workflows, with agents that work on a shared company knowledge base. It fits teams with someone who enjoys building and maintaining workflows. Out of the box it does not analyze your marketing performance and decide priorities. The jump from the low cost Chat plan to the 1,000 USD Growth plan is large.
Lindy
Lindy lets you assemble a custom agent from prebuilt skills, such as researching inbound leads or drafting follow-ups on a schedule. It is flexible and inexpensive per user. The trade-off is that you design the agent, so the quality of the result depends on the time you put into setting it up and keeping it working.
What a full-loop AI marketing agent hands you
The practical test for any agent is what lands on your desk on a Monday. This is the opportunities screen from UltraMarketer for a B2B services company. Every row is a finding from connected data, the channel it came from, the expected effect and the effort, ranked so the first item is the one worth doing first.
Compare that with what a writing tool gives you, which is a good draft and a blank space where the decision used to be. Neither is wrong. They solve different problems, and knowing which one you have saves money.

Which AI marketing agent fits your company
Start from your situation, not from the feature list.
- You run HubSpot already and most marketing is email and content. Breeze is the natural first step, because the data is already there.
- You are an enterprise on Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Agentforce, with a budget for credits and implementation.
- Your bottleneck is writing volume. Jasper or a similar writing tool, and keep planning in house. Our Jasper AI alternatives guide compares the writing tools with prices.
- You have a technical marketer who likes building automations. Lindy or Copy.ai workflows for specific jobs.
- You have revenue between 1 and 50 million USD, several channels and a small team without time to analyze them. An agent that plans and executes across channels, such as UltraMarketer, an AI CMO for the weekly work.
Owner-run companies with one website and a modest ad budget have their own page on how the agent fits a small business without a marketing team.
What an AI marketing agent really costs
The subscription is rarely the whole bill. Four things change the real cost, and they are worth asking about before you sign.
- Seats. Several tools price per user. A five person team on a per seat writing tool can cost more than a flat plan.
- Credits or usage. Credit based agents bill per action or conversation. Ask what a typical month of your volume costs and whether unused credits expire.
- Onboarding and contracts. Some suites charge a one time onboarding fee and require a yearly commitment.
- Your team's time. A tool that only drafts still needs someone to analyze, decide and publish. That time is often the largest cost of all.
For comparison, a marketing agency retainer for a growing company often starts around a few thousand dollars a month, and a fractional CMO typically costs 3,000 to 20,000 USD a month. UltraMarketer's plans run from 149 to 1,500 USD a month billed yearly, with the full list on the pricing page.
Questions to ask before you buy
Run any shortlisted tool through these questions during the demo or trial. Vague answers usually mean the agent label is marketing rather than product.
- Which of our accounts does it read, and does it see performance data or only content?
- Who decides what to work on this week, the tool or us?
- What exactly can it change on its own, and what limits stop it from overspending?
- Can we see a log of every change and undo one?
- How does it show whether last week's changes worked?
- What does the plan we need cost after seats, credits and onboarding?
