AI CMO That Decides What to Do Next and Does It
An AI CMO is software that does the planning work of a chief marketing officer. It reads your analytics, ad accounts and CRM, decides which actions will move revenue most and sets priorities and budgets. UltraMarketer also prepares every action and launches it with one click, inside spend limits you control.

What a CMO actually does each week
Strip away the title and a chief marketing officer spends the week on four jobs. Reading the numbers across every channel. Deciding what matters most this week and what can wait. Moving budget toward what returns money and away from what does not. Making sure the work gets shipped and measured.
Companies between 1 and 50 million USD in revenue rarely have someone doing all four. The founder reads a dashboard on Sunday night, a generalist marketer runs Google Ads and email, an agency sends a monthly report. Everyone is busy and nobody owns the weekly decision of what to do next. That gap is what an AI CMO fills.
UltraMarketer is an AI marketing agent built around that weekly decision. Every Monday it produces a Weekly Growth Plan, a ranked list of 10 actions with an expected impact range for each one. The top five appear as "This week, let's do these 5 things". Each action already contains the work: ad variants, keyword lists, a landing page draft, a budget proposal or an email sequence. You approve, edit or skip, and approved actions go live in your accounts.
How the AI CMO builds your plan
The same loop runs every week, so priorities change when your numbers change, not when someone finds time for a strategy deck.

01
Connect your data
Your website is crawled without a login. Then you connect GA4, Search Console, Google Ads, Meta Ads, a CRM such as HubSpot, Pipedrive or Salesforce, and Mailchimp or Klaviyo. Connections start read only.
-
02
Find opportunities
It looks for wasted spend, missing negative keywords, budget capped campaigns, slow or confusing landing pages, search queries with no matching page, stalled email flows and competitor moves.
-
03
Estimate impact
Each opportunity gets a low to high range in the metric you care about, such as leads, purchases or revenue, plus a confidence level and the data the estimate is based on.
-
04
Prepare the work
For the top actions it writes the assets: responsive search ads, Meta ad variants, negative keyword lists, landing page drafts, SEO briefs, email drafts and budget and bid changes.
-
05
Execute and measure
You press Execute. Changes go to Google Ads, Meta Ads, your ESP or your CMS, every change is logged, and results are compared against your 90 day baseline the following week.
A worked example with honest arithmetic
Take a B2B services company with 8 million USD revenue, spending 24,000 USD a month on Google Ads and Meta Ads and closing about 150 leads a month. Its average cost per lead is 160 USD.
In the first plan the AI CMO flags 214 search terms that spent 1,870 USD last month without a single conversion, a Display campaign with a cost per lead three times the account average, and a Brand Search campaign that loses impressions because its budget runs out by mid afternoon.
First month, estimated ranges
- Wasted search spend cut by 38 negatives and reinvested
- about $1,870 a month
- Display budget moved to Brand Search
- $2,400 a month
- Expected extra leads from both changes
- 20 to 33 a month
- Leads a month at the same spend
- 170 to 183
- Cost per lead after the changes
- $131 to $141
- UltraMarketer Growth plan, yearly
- $399 a month
These are estimates, not promises. If the result lands at the low end, the company still gets about 20 more leads for 399 USD a month. If a change underperforms, the next plan says so and one click rolls it back.
AI CMO compared with the usual options
Most growing companies choose between a human CMO, a fractional CMO, an agency or doing it themselves. Here is how they differ on the work that happens every week. For a deeper look read AI vs fractional CMO.
| UltraMarketer AI CMO | Fractional CMO | Full time CMO | Agency retainer | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Typical monthly cost | $149 to $3,000 | $3,000 to $22,000 | Salary plus team | $3,000 to $15,000 |
| Weekly prioritized plan | Every Monday, 10 actions | Usually monthly | Depends on the person | Monthly report |
| Prepares the assets | Yes, for every action | No, delegates | Through the team | Yes, billed by scope |
| Launches changes | One click, within guardrails | No | Through the team | Yes, on their schedule |
| Board level judgment | Data based, no politics | Strong | Strongest | Varies |
| Available when | Any time, plan every week | Agreed hours | Full time | Business hours |
An AI CMO does not sit in your leadership meeting or hire your team. If you need someone to build a brand from scratch, negotiate a reorganization or manage people, a human leader is the right call. UltraMarketer handles the weekly analysis, planning and execution that usually goes undone.
You stay in control of money and brand
A CMO with access to your ad accounts should be held to rules. These are set once in the panel and apply to every action.
Monthly spend cap
No action can push total spend above the cap you set for each channel.
Weekly budget change limit
Budget moves are capped per week, for example 15 percent, and larger moves are spread over several weeks.
Approval mode
Approve each action, let low risk actions such as negative keywords run on autopilot, or use full autopilot on the Company plans.
New campaigns start paused
Created campaigns can start paused so you check them in your ad account first.
Rollback and audit log
Every external change is written to an execution log and can be reversed with one click.

What is an AI CMO?
An AI CMO is software that takes on the planning side of a chief marketing officer: reading performance data across channels, deciding priorities and allocating budget. UltraMarketer adds execution, so each decision arrives as prepared work you can launch.
Can an AI CMO replace a human CMO?
It replaces the weekly analysis, prioritization and channel execution. It does not replace leadership tasks such as hiring, brand positioning from scratch or representing marketing on the board. Many companies use it instead of a fractional CMO or alongside a small team.
Will it spend money without asking?
No. The default mode is approve each action. You set a monthly spend cap and a maximum weekly budget change, and autopilot only covers the low risk action types you turn on.
Which data does it need?
A website URL is enough for the first scan. The weekly plan gets better with GA4, Search Console, Google Ads, Meta Ads, your CRM and your email platform connected. Connections start read only.
How fast do we get the first plan?
The first 10 actions are ready minutes after you connect your accounts. After that a new Weekly Growth Plan arrives every Monday.
Can we try it before paying?
Yes. Run a website scan on the AI marketing agent home page. It returns 10 opportunities and shows the first 3 without signup. Prepared assets and Execute need a plan.
